Werribee & Western Automotive Group is seeking a driven, results-focused, and experienced Automotive Sales Manager to join our growing team and lead the sales operation for our GWM dealership. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated leader who is passionate about automotive sales, customer experience, and developing high‑performing teams within one of Melbourne’s leading automotive groups.
As Sales Manager, you will oversee all aspects of the dealership sales operation, drive revenue growth, and ensure every customer receives an exceptional experience from enquiry through to delivery.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to consistently achieve and exceed sales targets.
* Develop and implement effective sales strategies to maximise dealership performance and profitability.
* Manage the complete sales process, ensuring a seamless and professional customer journey.
* Recruit, train, and onboard new sales consultants, providing ongoing coaching and development.
* Monitor team performance and sales activity, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing action plans where required.
* Build and maintain strong customer relationships, delivering outstanding customer satisfaction and retention.
* Work closely with Finance & Insurance and Service departments to deliver a complete dealership experience.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, competitor activity, and GWM products to support business growth.
* Ensure dealership compliance with all company policies, procedures, and manufacturer standards.
About You
* Previous experience as an Automotive Sales Manager is essential.
* Experience within a franchise dealership environment is essential.
* Proven ability to lead successful sales teams and deliver strong sales performance.
* Strong leadership, communication, and people management skills.
* Excellent negotiation, closing, and customer relationship skills.
* High level of professionalism with a customer‑first mindset.
* Strong understanding of dealership sales processes, CRM systems, and reporting.
* Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, target‑driven environment.
* Current and valid driver’s licence.
