To support our team of stem cell-based disease modelling group in Diabetes Research, we are seeking to recruit an ambitious and committed Postdoc (senior) (all genders).

Tasks
Hands-on maintenance of induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) cultures and supervision of a team to establish iPSC-based disease models for Diabetes research.
Reprogram patient-derived cells into induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSC).
Differentiate stem cells into functional pancreatic islet clusters.
Develop cell-based assays using mammalian cell lines and animal / human primary cells / tissues.
Analyse data according to the highest scientific standards and rigor and interpret those data to drive sensible conclusions.
Coordinate and supervise experiments from planning to analysis and documentation in an electronic laborator notebook (ELN) & LIMS system.
Conceptualize scientific projects and apply for publicly funded grants.
Engage in business development efforts and drive industry partnerships.
Manage quality assurance and deliver data in a timely manner.
Skills and Abilities
Postdocs with a minimum of 4-5 years of experience in mammalian cell culture.
Substantial hands‑on experience in human induced pluripotent stem cell culture is a must, directed differentiation into pancreatic islet cell clusters is highly desirable.
Hands‑on experience in multi‑parametric flow cytometric characterization and purification of cells.
Profound knowledge of steady state and cellular stress assays and standard molecular biology methodologies like Western‑Blot, qPCR & ELISA.
Experience in handling mammalian 3D suspension cell cultures (spinner flasks / bioreactor) is a plus.
Highly self‑motivated and competent to significantly drive / contribute to research projects.
High degree of initiative and flexibility with the ability to deliver results under challenging timelines.
Good communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with all levels of staff, collaborators, and customers.
Experience and willingness for proper documentation in an electronic laboratory notebook (ELN) & LIMS system.
Good command of the English language.
Salary
We offer an unlimited contract with a minimum yearly salary from EUR 69,060,- gross based on 40 hours / week for Postdocs. Overpayment is possible, depending on qualifications and work experience.
You will have the opportunity to work in an international connected company, within a motivated and international team.
