The position
In this role, you will independently manage operational sourcing activities within the assigned commodities in the Indirect Sourcing Area at the RCV level, in alignment with global category strategies. You will handle a broad range of responsibilities related to commodity management and address escalations from internal business partners as well as issues with suppliers, with coaching support from the team. You will work autonomously, with a strategic mindset, and contribute to increasing efficiency and driving innovation within our procurement organization. This is a 2‑year fixed‑term, part‑time position (30 hours per week).
Tasks & Responsibilities
Support local implementation of commodity strategies by creating and documenting Sourcing Cards, tracking savings and identifying efficiency opportunities aligned with the Target Operating Model (TOM)
Execute market-level sourcing activities, including running sourcing initiatives and supporting commodity projects focused on automation, spend consolidation and supplier optimization
Strengthen business partnering by promoting early Sourcing involvement, maintaining strong stakeholder relationships, and supporting the sourcing strategy and value proposition in line with the Business Partnering Concept
Ensure alignment of priorities and collaboration between Sourcing and business partners to drive shared understanding, efficient decision‑making and coordinated outcomes
Manage supplier performance and risk through lifecycle assessments, oversight of local suppliers and proactive identification, monitoring
Requirements
Hold a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Logistics, Sustainability, Communications, Procurement) combined with strong end‑to‑end process understanding
Bring several years of experience in Procurement, Finance, Supply Chain, or Category Management, supported by strong digital savviness and technological affinity
Demonstrate mental resilience and a growth mindset, excellent communication skills, and strong proficiency in both German and English; initial experience in the pharmaceutical industry is an advantage
Operate in alignment with cross‑functional internal processes across Finance, HR, IT and other supporting functions

The remuneration for this position starts at EUR gross annual target salary per year (full time). The actual salary package depends on professional experience and qualifications. We will be happy to discuss further details in person.
