Thesis - Development of sensors & test systems for battery electric vehicles Master Thesis
Technologies such as photonics, additive manufacturing, and embedded AI show significant potential to improve the performance of existing automotive test and measurement solutions (such as fuel cell, battery, exhaust, and fuel consumption measurement technologies) and enable future innovative systems through novel applications.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Development of innovative concepts in combination with optical measurement technologies
2. Simulation of design / programming of readout and data evaluation for sensor systems
3. Realization and construction of demonstrators (prototypes)
4. Testing of components / systems in the laboratory in Graz
5. Valuation of laboratory and simulation results in the field
YOUR PROFILE:
1. Ongoing studies in the fields of Physics, Electrical / Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics or similar
2. Basic knowledge of sensor technology and electrical drive systems
3. Knowledge of at least one 3D CAD software
4. Good knowledge of Python, C++, MatLab, or similar
5. Basic knowledge in CFD and additive manufacturing advantageous
6. Structured and independent way of working with the willingness to learn
7. Good knowledge of German and English
8. For laboratory activities: Presence in Graz required
