Your Role
As a Strategic Buyer in the field of Electronics, you will be responsible for the procurement and further development of electronic components. The focus will be on cost optimization, innovation, and international collaboration to ensure a reliable and future-oriented supply chain.
* Cost and Risk Management: Optimization of Total Cost of Ownership, ensuring supplier performance, as well as risk analysis and risk management for electronic components.
* Supplier Management: Selection, classification, and further development of suppliers in the electronics sector, as well as leading complex contract negotiations and professional contract management.
* Market and Technology Analysis: Proactive monitoring of the electronics market, evaluation of new technologies and products, as well as escalation management.
* Global Collaboration & Reporting: Strategic cooperation with international ABB category teams for Electronics, supported by data analysis, controlling, and reporting.
What It Takes To Run What Runs The World
* Completed commercial-technical education (e.g. Industrial Engineering)
* Several years of relevant professional experience in international procurement
* Market knowledge and experience in the field of electronic components (semiconductors, embedded products, etc.) desired
* Proficient in MS Office applications, experience with SAP MM module is an advantage
* Excellent German and English skills
* Diplomatic and assertive personality with strong negotiation skills
* Enjoyment of a varied role with a high degree of personal responsibility and a hands-on mentality

In accordance with the collective agreement for the electrical and electronics industry in Austria, the minimum salary for this position is € 4,341.85 gross per month as of May 2025. There is a clear willingness to offer compensation above the collectively agreed minimum salary, depending on qualifications and experience.
