For our location in Klagenfurt/Austria, which specializes in the development of wind turbines, we are offering the following position: Automation Software Engineer for Renewable Energies (m/f/d) Automation Software Engineer for Renewable Energies (m/f/d) Your tasks * Develop application software tailored for electrical control and power systems, ensuring high performance and reliability. * Perform comprehensive testing and commissioning activities both in-house and at customer sites, guaranteeing seamless system functionality. * Develop and implement a centralized wind turbine parameter structure, enabling standardized configuration and simplified lifecycle management. * Upgrade and maintain PLC software in compliance with the latest industrial security standards, ensuring system integrity. * Develop, maintain, and continuously update software documentation, including the establishment of a fully automated documentation process. * Collaborate with global internal teams and external partners to manage work packages effectively within development projects and meet agreed timelines and milestones. * Prepare detailed technical specifications and documentation in coordination with external partners to maintain project transparency and accuracy. * Deliver expert training sessions to customers, enhancing their understanding and use of our systems. Your profile * A degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering or Mechatronics, or a related technical field. * Several years of proven experience in software development, with a strong focus on high-quality solutions. * Experience in embedded software engineering is highly advantageous. * Proficiency in programming languages such as C / C++ / structured text is essential. * Familiarity with power converter systems and programming in Matlab/Simulink is a plus. * A customer-orientated mindset with a genuine interest in collaborating with diverse cultures. * Strong command of the English language, both written and spoken. * Willingness to travel internationally for business assignments, up to 10% of the time.
