Head Climate Certificates & Dry Bulk Trading (f/m/d)
Join Axpo as Head of Climate Certificates & Dry Bulk Trading and lead a high-performing team in the rapidly evolving carbon and fuels market. Take financial proprietary positions and expand trading activities regionally.
What you will do:
* Take proprietary trading positions in emissions allowances, climate certificates, and related fuels, such as coal.
* Lead and integrate a team of traders and analysts, fostering knowledge transfer.
* Expand trading activities into new regions (e.g., Asia, US) and related products (e.g., freight).
* Support other desks by providing market access for hedging purposes.
* Further develop in-house models and enhance fundamental market forecasting, also in collaboration with our other trading and analytics desks.
* Act as an active member of the Management Team of the division Merchant Trading, contributing to the development of the division’s broader strategic direction and growth.
What you bring & who you are:
* Master’s or PhD in business or natural sciences.
* Several years of experience in a commodities trading role within a bank, trading house, fund, or utility.
* Proven track record of strong PnL performance.
* Expertise in European emissions markets (compliance & voluntary) and other energy markets.
* Experience managing traders or analysts.
* Excellent communication skills and a fundamental trading approach.
