Salary Scale
* Qualified Health Visitor – Band 7 £52,769 – £61,377 p.a.
* Trainee Salary
o Up to 12 months prior to completion of training (75% of the top rate at Band 7) = £46,032 p.a.
o More than 1 but less than 2 years prior to completion of training (70% of the top rate at Band 7) = £42,963 p.a.
o More than 2 but less than 3 years prior to completion of training (65% of the top rate at Band 7) = £39,895 p.a.
o More than 3 years from completion of training (60% of the top rate at Band 7) = £36,826 p.a.
Main Role
The Health Visitor (HV) is the designated named HV for all children within their caseload from antenatal to school entry age, excluding the unborn child. The HV commences the child’s planning process. To discharge these responsibilities, the post holder monitors the child’s well‑being, assesses needs, and works in partnership with the child’s family and all involved agencies to produce a child’s plan that is monitored.
In discharging these responsibilities, the post holder is responsible and accountable for maintaining clinical, staff and information governance.
