Key Responsibilities
* Strategy Development: Co‑lead the end‑to‑end strategy process for the Group and its Business Units, from initial problem framing to delivering board‑ready recommendations and steering external advisors.
* Transformation & EBITDA Impact: Drive large‑scale programs, including operating model redesigns and SG&A optimization, with a clear focus on delivering measurable P&L and EBITDA improvements.
* M&A and Market Intelligence: Lead workstreams across the full M&A deal cycle and utilize strategic market intelligence to guide capital allocation and portfolio decisions.
* Capability Building: Strengthen strategic planning across the Business Units through targeted coaching and the development of internal capabilities.
* Strategic Partnership: Act as a trusted advisor to the Managing Board and a strategic partner to divisional leadership on high‑priority topics.
* Stakeholder Management: Align diverse stakeholders at Board and senior management levels within a complex, multinational matrix environment, particularly during sensitive transformation phases.
Your profile
* Education: Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
* Professional Experience: 5–7 years of experience within a leading strategy consultancy or a corporate strategy function of a comparable industrial group.
* Functional Expertise: Proven track record in managing transformation, restructuring, or operating model programs with tangible financial impact.
* Technical Skills: Exposure to M&A processes and advanced financial modelling capabilities.
* Executive Presence: Ability to structure highly ambiguous problems into clear recommendations and serve as a credible counterpart to senior leadership.
* Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional teams and drive results without direct line authority in high‑pressure environments.
* Communication: Proficiency in both German and English at an executive level (C1/C2).

Compensation
The monthly gross salary for this position is according to collective agreement in the chemical industry based on 38 working hours/week at least EUR 5,600,- with a willingness to overpay – depending on qualifications and experience. Additionally you will also take part in the Lenzing bonus system.
