Head of Product Group Rolls (based at one of our sites in EMEA)
As Head of Product Group Rolls, you will be responsible for defining and leading the strategic direction, development and performance of our global rolls service and product portfolio alongside the entire lifecycle. This includes not only the already existing responsibilities of Rolls within PFR, but also includes the successful integration of Rolls parts from other Divisions of PES, PTP and PKF. With the target of having all products and services related to Rolls integrated in the Product Group of Rolls (exact scope to be defined during integration phase). Collaboration and supporting internal stakeholders using rolls in their projects is part of the position.
In this position you will have P&L responsibility for the Product Group Rolls.
With your entrepreneurial personality, you will drive our product portfolio to global market leadership by effectively orchestrating the required tasks and collaborators. You will make a significant contribution to the global business growth of the product portfolio in terms of development, sales, profitability and competitiveness. You recognize and fulfil the true needs of our customers, and you will be able to make our products stand out from the competition. You build, lead and develop a strong management team which consist of R&D, Product Management functions, Design and Engineering. In addition, you cultivate a productive collaboration with the internal key stakeholders within PFR Regions, remaining responsible for production and sales, and other Divisions within Pulp and Paper.
In this position you will report to the head of the Division PFR.
Your tasks:
1. Integration and further alignment of new Product Group Rolls : beside already existing Rolls and Service responsibilities from PFR, additional Rolls products and services from other Divisions like PES, PTP and PKF needs to be successfully integrated.
2. Strategic planning: Development and implementation of the Rolls product group strategy in close coordination with the PFR regional management in order to address relevant market opportunities.
3. Research & Development: Leading and coordinating research and development activities to create innovative products that meet customer needs.
4. Innovation: Identification of new trends and technologies in order to continuously expand and improve the product range.
5. Product management: Monitoring of the entire product life cycle, including market launch, further development and eventual phase-out.
6. Production: Working with production sites to ensure efficient and high-quality manufacturing.
7. Sales & Marketing: Cooperating in development of sales strategies and marketing campaigns in close alignment with the regions to successfully position the products on the market.
8. Team leadership: Leading an interdisciplinary and global team from R&D, Product Management, Design and Engineering. Promoting cooperation and further development of employees.
9. Market and Competitive Analysis: Observing market trends, competitors, and customer feedback to adjust product strategy.
Your profile:
10. Completed university degree (Master's, MBA or doctorate) in engineering, economics or comparable qualification.
11. Several years of proven leadership experience in a global, strategically oriented product group management or business unit position, ideally in a technology-driven/innovative environment.
12. In-depth knowledge of research & development, production, marketing and sales on an international level.
13. Strong strategic thinking, entrepreneurial action and strong analytical skills.
14. Excellent communication and negotiation skills as well as intercultural competence.

16. Proven success in developing and implementing global growth strategies within service driven business.
17. Fluency in written and spoken English; other foreign languages are an advantage.
