About the Role
As our Operations Assistant / Team Leader, you’ll support and lead daily service operations across Melbourne, working closely with senior management.
This role is ideal for someone who understands hospitality from the ground up and is ready to step into leadership, coordination, and operations — without needing prior property management experience.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Leading and coordinating housekeeping teams, all-rounders, and service contractors
* Managing rosters, attendance, and work allocation
* Supporting guest check-ins, check-outs, and issue resolution
* Conducting service checks and driving quality improvements
* Ensuring WHS compliance and operational standards
* Acting as a key on-ground contact for daily operations
* Supporting senior managers with operational delivery
* Taking on increased responsibility as the business grows
Who We’re Looking For
We are looking for hospitality workers who are ready to grow.
You might come from:
* Hotels or serviced apartments
* Housekeeping or room operations
* Guest services or front-of-house roles
* Short-stay or accommodation environments
Property management experience is a bonus, not essential.
If you understand hospitality service, people coordination, and fast-paced operations — we can teach you the rest.
What You’ll Bring
* Hands-on hospitality experience with a strong work ethic
* A natural ability to lead, organise, and problem-solve
* Confidence communicating with teams, contractors, and guests
* Willingness to work weekends when required
* Valid driver’s licence and own car (travel between properties)
* A genuine desire to build a long-term career, not just a job
Qualifications
You’ll have either:
* A current or ongoing hospitality (or related) qualification
* OR
* At least 2 years’ relevant hospitality experience at a comparable level
