The impact you’ll make
Join Lam as a Lean Manufacturing Manager to support continuous improvement initiatives within our Malaysia manufacturing operations. This role focuses on implementing Lean principles & tools, optimizing production processes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
What You’ll Do Lean Implementation Apply Lean tools such as 5S, Kaizen, Kanban, and Value Stream Mapping to improve manufacturing processes
Support workstation standardization and layout optimization
Assist in developing visual management systems and performance tracking dashboards
Drive operational excellence in Manufacturing through Shingo Model implementation
Process Improvement Identify areas of waste and inefficiency and propose actionable solutions
Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action planning
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to implement process changes
Lead and promote kaizen culture
Training & Support Provide Lean training to operators and team leads
Facilitate improvement workshops and Gemba walks
Promote a culture of continuous improvement across the site
Data & Quality Collaboration Support data collection and analysis using tools like SAP and MES
Work with Quality teams to monitor defect trends and support improvement initiatives
Who We’re Looking For Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering
5+ years of experience in manufacturing operations preferably in the semiconductor industry
Basic proficiency in SAP, MES, or similar systems
Strong communication and team collaboration skills
Familiarity with Lean tools, Lean management systems, and methodologies
Preferred Qualifications Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent experience preferred
Automotive experience or Toyota Production System a plus
Experience in Shingo Model assessment and implementation in the Manufacturing environment

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
