Worldwide, more than 500 customers in around 150 countries with more than 45,000 workstations already trust our know-how and many years of experience.In the business unit, we are looking for a Lead System Architect for the existing solutions-team responsible for solution design, system design and standardization in the field of rail communication. During our internal onboarding programme, you will undergo technical and product-based training. You will also have the opportunity to familiarise yourself with the areas of responsibility in various departments. You can acquire valuable expertise in the areas of pre-sales, system engineering or offer management in order to perfectly match the system designs you create to the requirements of our customers. Key Tasks
1. You will lead a team of 3 to 5 System Architects
2. You contribute to system architecture and system design documents, considering functional and non-functional requirements, especially for cloud environments.
3. You review and ensure the technical feasibility of system designs.
4. You participate in exploration teams of Agile Release Trains.
5. You create cost estimates for system designs in close coordination with architects
6. You participate in standardization activities as well as in the selection of software technologies.
Key Qualifications
7. 5 years of professional experience as a system architect, in the development of complex solutions or as a system engineer or software engineer
8. Technical education (HTL, FH, university) in the field of computer science, software engineering, network technology
9. Familiarity with current architectures and technologies and knowledge of Linux is desirable
10. Experience in the area of IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) and Mission Critical Communications (MCX) and Kubernetes (K8) is an advantage
11. Very good knowledge of English and German
12. Willingness to travel up to 20 % per year, room for manoeuvre given
13. Collegial, motivated personality with an interest in railway systems
