Network Consultant will collaborate closely with our technical teams and clients to develop concepts and orchestration for edge computing solutions. This role demands deep expertise in networking, edge computing technologies, and cloud integration, along with strategic guidance capabilities for stakeholders.
* Assess client requirements and current network infrastructure, providing expert recommendations for edge network architecture and solutions.
* Research edge computing needs and components within project contexts, evaluating new hardware and network technologies to industrialize target solutions.
* Conduct feasibility studies, capacity planning, and performance optimization assessments for edge networks, considering latency and energy consumption.
* Integrate advanced technologies such as 5G, IoT devices, AI/ML at the edge, and platforms like Azure IoT Edge, AWS Greengrass, and Google Cloud IoT.
* Create network configurations and edge-to-cloud data flows, ensuring efficient data processing and communication across distributed devices and nodes for energy-efficient networking and orchestration.
* Implement concepts as POCs in test environments.
* Possess strong experience with edge computing platforms and related technologies.
* Be familiar with networking automation tools (Ansible, Terraform) and network performance monitoring solutions.
* Have strong knowledge of network security protocols and practices for edge and distributed environments.
* Demonstrate an analytical mindset to interpret data and make decisions balancing sustainability and technical performance.
* Show passion for sustainability and a desire to reduce environmental impact of cloud computing.
* Speak English at least at B2 level and/or German at B2+ level.
