We are seeking a skilled Desktop Support Engineer with strong German and Romanian language proficiency to join our IT support team in Bucharest. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience in providing technical support, troubleshooting hardware/software issues, and ensuring smooth IT operations.
About the Role
The Desktop Support Engineer will be responsible for providing technical support and ensuring the smooth operation of IT services.
Responsibilities
* Provide L1/L2 desktop support to end users (onsite and remote)
* Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues
* Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals
* Manage user accounts, permissions, and access (Active Directory)
* Support Windows OS, MS Office, and enterprise applications
* Handle ticketing systems and ensure timely resolution of incidents
* Assist with IT asset management and documentation
* Collaborate with global teams and elevate issues when required
Qualifications
* Minimum 2+ years of experience in Desktop Support or similar role
* Fluency in German and Romanian (mandatory)
* Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Office 365, and basic networking
* Experience with Active Directory, VPN, and remote tools
* Good understanding of ITIL processes is a plus
* Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
