Your role

As an Account Manager within our Peripheral Vascular business, you will act as a clinical, commercial, and strategic anchor for your region.

You will drive therapy adoption and sustainable patient pathway development across complex, high‑impact accounts, while serving as a trusted escalation point in sensitive or high‑risk situations.

What you will do

Clinical leadership & therapy adoption

1. Act as a senior subject‑matter expert in peripheral and endovascular interventions, shaping, stabilising, and scaling therapy adoption across strategic accounts.

2. Intervene in complex, politically sensitive, or at‑risk situations, removing structural barriers to adoption and restoring execution momentum.

Territory strategy & value creation

3. Translate company and regional strategy into advanced territory action plans, balancing priorities and informed trade‑offs aligned with country objectives.

4. Develop and articulate compelling clinical, operational, and economic value propositions, including complex business cases tailored to senior decision‑makers.

5. Support customers in navigating reimbursement frameworks, economic constraints, and sustainability challenges, particularly in high‑visibility contexts.

Patient pathway & network development

6. Design, refine, and scale patient pathways and inter‑hospital referral networks, ensuring solutions are sustainable, reproducible, and resilient beyond individual accounts.

7. Diagnose complex clinical, organisational, and commercial challenges using incomplete or ambiguous information, escalating systemic issues when appropriate.

Execution excellence & influence

8. Support complex clinical activity, including proctored cases and work in high‑acuity clinical environments, ensuring safe and consistent use of therapies.

9. Provide leadership through influence by mentoring and coaching Associate Account Managers, raising execution quality and decision‑making capability.

10. Contribute to in‑field training, onboarding, and development initiatives in partnership with the Education team.

11. Collaborate closely with sales leadership and cross‑functional partners to ensure aligned execution and effective escalation.

12. Under defined circumstances, act on behalf of the Regional Sales Manager or Country Manager for delegated initiatives or coordination activities.

13. Maintain accurate reporting, disciplined territory management, and high‑quality documentation in internal systems.

14. Deliver senior‑level training, presentations, and strategic updates to customers and internal stakeholders.

15. Represent Stryker as a credible and trusted senior ambassador, consistently upholding our values and reputation.

16. Advanced expertise in peripheral vascular and endovascular therapies, acute patient pathways, and hospital workflows.

17. Strong system‑level understanding of healthcare economics, reimbursement environments, and long‑term therapy sustainability.

18. Proven ability to operate independently with sound strategic judgment, accountability, and decision‑making under ambiguity.

19. Exceptional ability to influence senior clinical, administrative, and executive stakeholders without formal authority.

Leadership & resilience

21. Demonstrated mentoring and coaching capability, with the ability to elevate team performance.

22. High level of emotional maturity, resilience, and professionalism in high‑pressure clinical environments.

Experience & education

25. Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent commercial and clinical experience.

26. Minimum 6 years’ experience in medical device sales, clinical support, or therapy development within complex hospital environments.

27. Experience in advanced or acute clinical settings (e.g. endovascular, cath lab, OR, ICU, emergency care).

28. Proven success in strategic account management, therapy development, and multidisciplinary stakeholder engagement.

29. All required certifications and vendor credentials must be maintained.

Working conditions

30. Extended periods of computer use; prolonged sitting or standing, including time in heavy lead protection.

31. Moderate lifting and carrying of equipment and Stryker Peripheral Vascular products (up to 20 kg).

32. Extensive travel, including overnight stays, approximately 70–80% of the time (car, train, aircraft).

33. Regular exposure to radiation environments during procedural support, in line with safety standards.

34. Tasks may involve exposure to substances requiring health surveillance, work in confined spaces, handling hazardous materials, and contact with blood or bodily fluids, in accordance with local regulations and protocols.

Environmental Conditions

Tasks involve working with substances that have a workplace exposure limit (WEL) or are associated with occupational asthma, therefore requiring fitness for work and health surveillance. Tasks involve working with liquids/powders which may cause skin irritations if contact is made with skin – dermatitis. Tasks involve handling hazardous substances including storage and / or transporting. Tasks involve working in confined spaces Tasks involve working with blood / blood products/body fluids.

For legal reasons, we would like to point out that the classification is based on the collective agreement for employees in trading companies, with a willingness to offer overpayment depending on qualifications and professional experience, plus a commission as well as a company car and additional social benefits.Travel Percentage: 80%
