Overview
As an IT Architect (f/m/x), you will shape the IT future at Anton Paar – with a focus on modern platforms, efficiency, scalability, and close collaboration with teams in AI strategy and IT governance.
Responsibilities
* Further development of the target IT architecture, taking into account existing platforms, future system landscapes, and technological trends
* Close coordination with operational IT areas to ensure sustainable, scalable, and economically viable implementation
* Advising and supporting strategic architecture decisions, e.g., make-or-buy, cloud or on-prem, low code / no code / pro code
* Designing technical architectures with a focus on modularity, interoperability, and long-term integration capabilities
* Collaborating with the AI strategy team to technologically integrate data-driven use cases into operational IT operations
* Supporting the evolution towards a service-oriented ITSM organization using common frameworks (e.g., ITIL)
* Contributing to the development and implementation of company-wide architecture standards, policies, and decision-making processes
Qualifications
* Several years of professional experience as an IT architect or in similar roles, ideally with a broad technological background (e.g., development, infrastructure, operations, integration)
* Proven experience in planning and designing complex IT architectures and integrating new systems into existing environments
* Excellent understanding of current and future technology trends and their impact on business and IT processes
* Knowledge in service-oriented IT organizations and experience in transformation processes from traditional structures to ITSM models
* Know-how or willingness to become familiar with platforms such as SAP S/4HANA, Neptune, Microsoft Power Platform, M365, Mulesoft
* Strong strategic thinking, conceptual skills, and confident decision-making
* Persuasive communication skills in collaboration with IT, business departments, and management at eye level

We offer a fair and market-aligned salary based on the collective agreement for employees in the metal trade – adjusted to the regional conditions of the Styrian labor market. The minimum gross monthly salary for this position is € 4.700 (based on full-time employment). What truly counts for us are your personality, your skills, and the experience you bring.
