Job Description
Turner & Townsend are leaders in professional services to the Data Centre sector globally. Due to the continued success and expansion of our Data Centre business in Austria, we are currently recruiting for an experienced Technical Project Manager (m/f/d) to join our Data Centre team in Vienna.
Responsibilities
* Manage complex projects and programs as a client interface
* Develop working relationships, problem solving and drive projects to successful completion
* Manage the design process to achieve the client's requirements and manage expectations
* Review project plans and specifications, scheduling, cost saving measures, discrepancies, potential construction problems, etc.
* Manage project safety and environmental requirements
* Manage project timelines, risks and reporting
* Manage project budgets and advise on options to keep budget on track
* Co‑ordinate vendor scope with overall project delivery
* Work closely with project team/STS to ensure effective and timely document processing and management of contract documents
Qualifications
* Degree in Construction Management or a related field
* Technical understanding of Data Centre Infrastructure – HVAC, Electrical, Generators, Fire, Security and BMS
* Professional/tertiary qualification in project management, engineering or construction
* A minimum of 5 years project management experience, gained within a Data Centre or similar technical environment
* A thorough understanding of the total project life cycle, from project inception stage, design, authority approvals through to construction completion and post‑project review
* Excellent knowledge and experience of all of the main project management concepts, tools and techniques
* Ability to thrive in a high pressure, fast paced environment
* Excellent command of written and spoken German and English
* Highly motivated and driven with a passion for delivering to your client
Additional Information
The minimum collective agreement salary (as per Austrian Collective Agreement) for this position €53,487 gross per year. However, we would like to explicitly point out that overpayment is planned in accordance with your expertise and professional experience.
