Operational Research Coordinator (m/f/d), Part Time
Join Boehringer Ingelheim as an Operational Research Coordinator (m/f/d) on a part‑time basis (approximately 26 hours per week) in Vienna. The role strengthens our Research Coordination Team by managing external research services and handling non‑clinical study reports within the pharmaceutical industry. It requires excellent organisational skills, precision under deadlines, and confidence navigating matrix structures.
Tasks & Responsibilities
* Coordinate and process external research service orders (CRO services), including cost tracking and booking of related invoices for the Innovation Unit at the Vienna site.
* Organise, quality‑check and archive all internal and external non‑clinical study reports within our research projects, working closely with responsible scientists.
* Prepare and consolidate budget accruals and compile HCO/HCP expenses for the current calendar year for the Innovation Unit.
* Collaborate closely with assistants, scientists and support functions at the site (e.g. Sourcing, Legal, Contracting) within the defined areas of responsibility.
* Act as the first point of contact within the Innovation Unit Vienna for questions and challenges related to CRO orders and non‑clinical study reports.
Requirements
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a scientific or commercial discipline, with proven experience and understanding of the pharmaceutical sector.
* Proficiency in sourcing processes; SAP knowledge is a strong advantage.
* Exceptional organisational skills and a strong commitment to delivering excellent service.
* Strong interpersonal skills and enjoyment of working in collaborative, matrix‑oriented teams.
* Fluency in English and at least basic German language skills.

The minimum gross annual salary for this position is €45,000 per year (full‑time) according to the classification in the collective bargaining agreement for the chemical industry. Depending on professional experience and qualifications, we offer an overpayment.
