We’re looking for a highly organised, hands-on Fleet & Stock Control Manager to manage our company vehicles, traffic control equipment, PPE, signage, radios and stock inventory across the SEQ region.

What You’ll Be Doing
Fleet Maintenance & Coordination
Manage and maintain our fleet of UTEs, trucks, trailers and plant
Coordinate servicing, repairs, inspections and compliance
Respond to defects, breakdowns and vehicle safety issues
Keep accurate vehicle checklists, registers and compliance records
Arrange delivery and collection of vehicles and equipment as required
Work closely with mechanics, auto-electricians and service providers
Induct new drivers on vehicle and accident procedures
Stock, Equipment & Inventory Control
Oversee PPE, signage, cones, radios, beacons and traffic gear
Maintain clean, organised storage areas and secure stock systems
Repair / replace damaged equipment and tools
Monitor usage, levels, damage, loss and replenishment
Conduct audits and ensure correct charging for lost/damaged/hired items
Keep stock registers and ordering processes accurate and up to date
Safety & Compliance
Ensure all vehicles and equipment are safe, compliant and ready for use
Maintain registers, service stickers, insurance and documentation
Keep warehouses tidy and hazard‑free
Never release unsafe or unserviceable equipment to site
Reporting & Administration
Provide regular updates to management
Identify process improvements in maintenance and stock systems
Track vehicles for improper or unauthorised use
Support operations, area managers and traffic supervisors
About You
We’re looking for someone who is:
Trade / Mechanically Minded
Background in mechanical, automotive, fitting, fabrication, plant, workshop or similar
Comfortable diagnosing basic mechanical and equipment issues
Able to complete minor repairs (e.g. flat tyres, simple fixes)
Organised & Detail Focused
Loves tidy registers, organised storage and efficient systems
Keeps accurate records and follows processes consistently
Practical & Hands-On
Enjoys problem solving and finding smart, efficient ways to get things done
Takes pride in clean, safe, well‑maintained equipment
Professional & Reliable
Communicates well with internal teams and suppliers
Follows through on commitments and meets agreed timeframes
Has strong personal accountability and pride in workmanship
What You’ll Need
Experience in a workshop, mechanical, trade or fleet environment (highly desirable)
Experience with tools, small plant, vehicles or equipment
Inventory/stock control experience (preferred but not essential)
Understanding of WHS and safe equipment practices
Current driver’s licence (MR or HR a bonus but not required)
