Chief Operating Officer - AI augmented operations (f/m/d) Scaling B2B SaaS | Vienna / Hybrid As a recruitment partner to a fast-growing, product-led SaaS company, we are supporting the search for a strategic, AI-enabled operations leader who can redesign how a modern tech company runs. This is not a traditional COO role focused on expanding headcount and layers of management. Our client is building a lean, high-output organization where AI systems replace manual coordination, automate reporting, and significantly reduce operational drag. More about the role: You will design and implement an AI-first operating framework across Product, Engineering, GTM, and Customer functions. The focus is on scalability without bureaucracy, building infrastructure that allows the company to grow revenue and complexity without proportionally increasing headcount. You will operate as a force multiplier for the executive team. Key Responsibilities: Architecting AI-powered workflows across departments (forecasting, reporting, resource planning, customer insights) Embedding automation into operational processes to reduce manual coordination and repetitive tasks Leveraging predictive analytics to inform capacity planning, revenue modeling, and growth strategy Redesigning cross-functional collaboration using intelligent dashboards and real-time performance tracking Driving KPI alignment and executive visibility through AI-generated insights Identifying inefficiencies and systematically replacing them with scalable systems Supporting the CEO in strategic planning with data-backed scenario modelin Ideal Profile Senior leadership experience within SaaS or technology environments Proven exposure to AI-driven automation, analytics platforms, or data infrastructure transformation Strong systems thinker with a bias toward simplification and efficiency Comfortable leading transformation initiatives across multiple business functions Analytical, outcome-oriented, and highly autonomous Experience scaling operations in venture-backed or high-growth settings is a plus Why is this role different?
