Overview
We're looking for an experienced, driven Security Site supervisor to lead a busy onsite operation. This is a full-time, Monday-to-Friday position (50 hours per week), requiring a strong, hands-on leader with a proven track record of improving site and team performance.
Responsibilities
* Lead and manage a large security team on a high-profile site
* Ensure high operational standards are met and continuously improved
* Handle low-level HR cases and staff management professionally
* Conduct staff training, mentoring, and ongoing development
* Represent the site in client meetings with professionalism and confidence
* Be a role model to staff and lead by example
* Thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
* Maintain a “can-do” attitude and proactive approach to problem-solving
* To protect our customer's property, people and/or assets by providing security services in direct accordance with the site's published Assignment Instructions (AI's) and any subsequent changes
* Delivering results that meet and/or exceed the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) / Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for the customer through full responsibility and accountability
* To undertake additional training to ensure continuous self-development
* Be the first point of contact for the Security team and manage day-to-day matters such as standards of dress, discipline, and conduct
* Assist in on-going training to resident security teams and ensure all new security officers are fully trained and inducted to site procedures and policies including CCTV, access control systems, deliveries and removals, fire alarms and intruder alarms
* Develop teamwork within the workforce, ensuring high morale through effective motivational methods
* Assist in review of Security Officers' performance and development
* Assist in any security / equipment investigations, e.g. thefts, missing items, complaints etc.
* Provide customer / client liaison as and when required
* Ensure Assignment Instructions are adhered to at all times by security and shipping personnel
* Ensure important messages are conveyed in the Security Handover and acknowledged by all security personnel
* Maintains security records and logs
* Ensure the security team comply with all relevant data protection legislation
Essential Requirements
* Valid SIA licence
* Experience managing large teams and complex sites
* Demonstrated ability to improve team and site performance
* Experience handling HR matters and staff development
* Strong communication and leadership skills
Preferred
* CCTV licence
* Full UK driving licence
* SC Clearance desirable
