About The Role
Join Orange, a global IT leader, as Head of the Delivery Competency Center within our Major Skills Center located in the Indian Ocean.
Your Mission
As Director of IOO Delivery, you are the local representative of the Delivery management within the MSC. You lead a center of excellence of approximately 800 employees based in Mauritius and Madagascar, dedicated to delivering network connectivity, Internet, and voice services for our major French clients. A member of the MSC Executive Committee and the Delivery France Operations (FOPS) Executive Committee, you will be at the heart of innovation, talent management, and operational excellence. You will operate within a matrix organization (FRESH), where IOO Delivery resources are engaged in customer production units.
Key Responsibilities
Local Support for Performance Optimization
Identify performance levers, propose initiatives, and support performance improvement actions to enhance center efficiency.
Provide local support to managers in day‑to‑day operations and in resolving operational challenges.
Ensure business continuity through the implementation of DRP/BCP between Mauritius and Madagascar.
Foster a culture of innovation, particularly through automation and AI.
Talent Management
Recruit, develop, and retain local talent.
Manage skills development, career paths, and internal mobility.
Ensure tracking of mandatory training and ongoing skills development.
Implement a localization strategy between Mauritius and Madagascar.
Deploy talent management practices and promote local career development pathways.
Transformation Support
Contribute to strategic thinking around the Delivery transformation vision.
Participate in the design of transformation initiatives.
Advise on, contribute to, or lead their operational implementation.
Guide and support teams in the operationalization of transformations.
Engagement and Culture
Promote a motivating, caring, and innovative work environment.
Implement recognition and well‑being initiatives.
Promote and embody Orange’s corporate culture.
Foster a customer‑centric culture, with a strong understanding of French client challenges and a strong service orientation.
Design and deploy modern, collaborative workspaces.
Executive Committee Membership
Active member of the MSC IOO Executive Committee representing Delivery.
Active member of the Delivery FOPS Executive Committee.
Sponsor of transformation programs.
Ensure regulatory and local political monitoring impacting Delivery activities.
Develop and maintain strong cross‑functional relationships (Delivery / SAO / HR / Performance / Delivery Departments).
Based in Mauritius, with travel to Madagascar and France as required.
Profile Sought
Significant experience in managing competency centers or operational teams in the IT or telecommunications sector.
Strong leadership skills, with the ability to lead multicultural teams and manage change.
Strong ability to work cross‑functionally and within matrix organizations.
Strong understanding of French B2B customers.
Strong culture of innovation.
Excellent interpersonal skills, proactive mindset, strong adaptability, and collaboration abilities.
Ability to lead and support large‑scale transformations in a dynamic and complex environment.
