How We Work
We are a small fund with a small team where everyone plays an equally important role and contributes to the success of the fund as a whole. We are on the lookout for great additions to our team and welcome those who are not afraid to get involved in anything a fund needs: from accounting and controlling to tax and audit.
What We're Looking For
Currently we are looking for a Junior/Senior Finance Manager who can lead "all things finance". We offer full time and part time arrangements. We are happy to consider a variety of profiles, with or without experience in venture capital. What you bring to the table:
* Strategic thinker with a solution-oriented mindset
* Comfortable with numbers and driven to make smart, forward-looking decisions
* Curious and proactive, always seeking efficient workflows and smart tools (AI, automation, etc.)
* Able to build Google Sheets fast and try out things to prepare facts for all kind of decisions
* Background in finance or accounting, ideally with experience under UGB/IFRS standards
* Fluent in German and English (C1 level or higher), confident in both written and spoken financial communication (MUST HAVE)
* Willingness to re-locate to Vienna (Austria) for at least a year (or two)
* Independent, precise, and structured working style
Bonus Points (Nice to Have):
* Commercial education background (e.g., HAK, HAS, Bilanzbuchhalter diploma, or equivalent)
* Secondary education (University) a big plus
* Knowledge of accounting tools like BMD NTCS
* Enthusiasm for digital tools and modern finance workflows (e.g., Domonda, Pliant)
* Understanding of AML/KYC management
* Solid understanding of Austrian and international tax regulations—or a strong willingness to learn
What You'll Be Doing
Depending on the individual profile and your seniority you will help:
* Own and streamline finance workflows, from process optimization to digital tools and systems
* Manage daily finance operations (AP/AR, payments, VAT, monthly UGB reporting) across all Calm/Storm entities
* Support monthly closings and year-end processes under Austrian GAAP (UGB) and IFRS
* Collaborate with tax advisors and internal teams as the go-to for financial coordination and insights
* (With experience) Take on broader responsibilities like financial statements, tax topics, and investor/regulatory reporting
