Brand Strategy Manager
As Brand Strategy Manager at ABB, you will strengthen one of the world’s most trusted industrial technology brands. You will shape brand strategy across ABB’s global portfolio—ensuring clarity, consistency, and differentiation in a highly competitive market spanning electrification, automation and motion. Reporting to the Head of Brand, you will collaborate closely with business areas, divisions, and global marketing teams to build a brand that accelerates ABB’s business strategy, enhances customer preference, and drives long‑term value.
Location: flexible, ideally in Europe, other locations also considered.
Working model: Remote or Hybrid.
Your Role
Develop and evolve ABB’s global brand strategy, ensuring alignment with business priorities and long‑term value creation.
Strengthen ABB’s brand positioning across key customer segments, industries, and geographies.
Drive brand automation and ensure ABB’s brand is applied more efficiently and coherently worldwide.
Translate corporate strategy and technology leadership into clear brand narratives and strategic frameworks.
Manage ABB’s brand architecture and naming, ensuring clarity and coherence across portfolios, solutions, and offerings.
Collaborate to embed brand strategy into partnerships, campaigns, events, content, and digital experiences.
Ensure the ABB brand is represented consistently and powerfully across all internal and external channels.
Support strategic initiatives such as sustainability storytelling, innovation narratives, and employer brand alignment.
Monitor industry trends, competitive moves, and emerging best practices in B2B brand management.
Qualifications and Experience
University level education in Marketing, Brand Management, Communications, Business, or related fields.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in brand and especially brand strategy.
Strong understanding of brand architecture, positioning, working with brand, brand activation and the use of brand (governance) tools.
Experience in a brand agency is highly desirable.
Experience with brand measurement, market insights, and customer research.
Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and storytelling skills, including demonstrable experience presenting at the C‑suite level of multinational organisations.
Ability to navigate a complex, matrixed global organization.
Strategic mindset with strong execution capabilities.
Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and deliver on time.
Team‑Oriented: A collaborative team player who contributes to team and business success.
