In your role, you will * Develop innovative automation hardware and software concepts for our plant solutions * Define the requirements for the automation equipment * Align and jointly review interfaces to the process equipment and MES applications * Participating HAZOP and LOPA studies * Take care about cyper security requirements and solutions * Work closely with project management and disciplines such as piping, layout, static and rotating equipment and electrical disciplines both in the proposal and engineering phase * Be the interface to the automation hardware and software engineers * Lead hardware and software FATs and SATs * Be part of the commissioning, start up, and optimization team. In your personal skillset you have * Degree level qualification in an automation or process engineering discipline * Minimum five years of experience in automation hardware and software design * Experience with different industry control systems, Siemens PCS7 system and programming experience is a plus * Knowledge about substation systems, experience with protokolls like IEC61850 is a plus. * Ability to consult with customers and suppliers about technical design requirements is expected. * Explain design solutions in an engaging manner * Strong communication, analytical and planning skills * Solution/team/customer oriented with the confidence to act pro actively * Fluent in English.
