2 Assistant Professors, tenure track, qualification agreement
Two tenure-track Assistant Professor positions at the Institute for Accounting and Auditing, Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU). Fulltime, 40 hours/week. Starting July 01, 2026 or soon thereafter, ending after six years. A qualification agreement will be concluded at the start of employment (§ 27 of the Collective Bargaining Agreement). Pursuant to WU’s Personnel Development Plan, this position can be fixed-term for up to six years. Upon fulfillment of all objectives in the qualification agreement, the employment may be made permanent. After successful completion of the qualification agreement, employees are classified as associate professors and belong to the group of professors. Three years after completing the qualification agreement, they may apply for promotion to full professor according to By-Laws of WU § 43a.

* Candidates should demonstrate active involvement in the international academic community, e.g., through collaboration with coauthors, research visits, or presentations at leading conferences.
* Candidates must have completed their PhD at a university other than WU or have at least two years of postdoctoral experience elsewhere, with international academic experience (e.g., PhD from a non-Austrian university or postdoctoral work at a non-Austrian institution for at least two years).
* Candidates must be able to teach in English and are expected to commit to excellence in teaching.
* Candidates should be willing to use multimedia teaching methods.
* Non-German-speaking candidates should commit to acquiring German proficiency.

Salary information: The minimum monthly gross salary amounts to €5,808.20 (14 times per year). In addition, a wide range of attractive social benefits is offered.
