NXAI is an Austrian AI research company located in Linz, where advanced research is transformed into real‑world impact. Our focus is on next‑generation xLSTM models and their industrial applications. Together with a strong network of partners, we are creating a leading center for AI innovation in Linz — and we are looking for an AI Solutions Architect (f/m/d) to join our Applied Research team on this journey.
This role is ideal for individuals who want to excel at the intersection of hands‑on technical development, project management and direct customer interaction. You'll be responsible for coordinating projects, translating our cutting‑edge research into deployable solutions, and serving as the primary interface for our industrial partners.
Your responsibilities
* Starting on the operational engineering side to gain deep familiarity with our core technology.
* Gradually increasing responsibility for customer agendas after this foundational phase by coordinating the entire project lifecycle - from initial scoping and workshops to successful delivery and deployment to the customer.
* Translating research results, such as novel xLSTM based algorithms, into production‑ready, deployable solutions for various fields like time series, computer vision or robotics.
* Acting as the main technical liaison for customers, including demos, workshops and requirements gathering.
* Developing and optimizing models within a highly-skilled engineering team, taking care of data pipelines and ensuring that AI solutions are seamlessly integrated into customer environments.
* Coordinating across research, engineering and product teams to ensure a clear flow of information to all stakeholders.
What you bring to the table
* 3+ years of hands‑on experience in AI/ML engineering, applied research or technical consulting / project management.
* Solid understanding of machine learning including transformers, LSTMs, attention mechanisms, model development (PyTorch) and data pipelines for time series.
* Strong project management skills (agile methods, milestone planning, cross-team coordination) and ability to balance technical detail with business requirements and delivery goals.
* Familiarity with model deployment and optimization with PyTorch, ONNX, TensorRT, TorchScript.
* Excellent communication skills in English and German and confidence in customer‑facing settings.
