Director, Software Engineering

Your role
* Lead directors and managers of 5‑10 development teams; collaborate with internal stakeholders across labs and focus areas.
* Define the organizational setup of the teams and grow them by recruiting right talent locally and internationally.
* Inspire and empower your team through mentorship, coaching, and career guidance; drive cross‑lab alignment.
* Extend the business value and drive development‑side ownership of product capabilities.
* Plan, monitor, and steer strategic development topics; participate in strategic roadmap planning and improve development processes.
* Live, support, and develop Dynatrace values and culture; translate vision into lab competencies and drive innovation.
* Drive solutions and innovation by excellence, not by hierarchy; lead through empowerment.

* Experience building and scaling successful software departments.
* Ability to work and scale within a fast‑growing, agile company while thinking and planning strategically.
* 10+ years of leadership experience with development teams in an agile software environment.
* Experience leading leaders and coaching larger teams.
* Expertise in organizational change; ability to manage change and scale with a growing company.
* Proven track record building a culture that encourages autonomy, innovation, teamwork, and productivity.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills suitable for working with diverse audiences.

Compensation and rewards
* Attractive compensation packages and stock purchase options with numerous benefits and advantages.
* Minimum salary for this position is €100,000 gross per year (full‑time). Higher salary possible based on qualification and experience.
