Job Summary
The Global Media Client Services Specialist supports Universal Music Group’s global media operations by coordinating audio and video workflows across the digital supply chain. Working closely with Client Services leads, engineering teams and internal partners, this role ensures media content is collected, processed, tracked, and delivered accurately and on time.
The role is operational and service-oriented, combining coordination, data accuracy, and communication. You will act as a key point of contact for internal labels, territories, and partners, supporting submission processes, compliance checks, and day-to-day workflow execution across UMG’s digital media assets.
Key Responsibilities
Work closely with Client Services Leads and internal engineering teams to manage and facilitate media workflows across the digital supply chain
Support internal labels, territories, and partners by providing clear guidance on content submission requirements and delivery specifications
Research, locate, and validate media content across internal and external storage, archive, and vault systems
Upload, download, and manage approved media files across UMG business systems
Ensure assets and associated metadata are accurate, complete, and compliant with company standards prior to ingestion
Monitor workflows and task queues, identifying issues and coordinating resolutions through to final delivery
Add and maintain metadata in UMG content management and workflow systems
Produce accurate reports and updates to support operational tracking, SLAs, and KPIs
Contribute to special projects, including workflow improvements, documentation, training materials, and evaluation of new tools or technologies
Job Requirements
Essential
Typically 2+ years of relevant experience in coordination, operations, or client services roles
Experience working with digital media assets (audio and/or video)
General understanding of media asset formats and delivery workflows
Experience supporting project coordination or operational processes
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a customer-service mindset, collaborating with global teams and stakeholders where English is the primary working language
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word
Experience with database entry, reporting, and documentation
Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively, and work in a deadline-driven environment
Desirable
Experience with content management, workflow or ticketing systems (e.g. SonyCi, Airtable, or similar)
Experience working in an international or cross-functional business environment
Exposure to digital media supply chains (audio and/or video)
Familiarity with video or audio production environments

Additional Information
This is a 38.5-hour full-time position based in Salzburg, working closely with international colleagues across multiple territories. The role offers hands‑on exposure to Universal Music Group’s global media operations, with opportunities to develop operational expertise across both audio and video services.
Compensation is based on the applicable Austrian collective bargaining agreement. According to the collective agreement, the minimum salary is EUR 2,473 gross per month. A competitive salary will be offered based on your skills and experience.
