What You Do
* Provide expert legal advice and support to the regional management on all legal matters, including corporate, commercial and insurance (supervisory) law.
* Manage and oversee legal aspects of projects, ensuring timely and effective delivery of legal services.
* Lead, manage, and advise on corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, restructurings, and other strategic initiatives such as bancassurance partnerships.
* Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts, including but not limited to intercompany and external service agreements.
* Ensure appropriate governance in Allianz Holding eins GmbH and the CE region, develop and implement legal policies and procedures to ensure best practices and compliance.
* Implement the evolving regional operating model, identifying areas for improving effectiveness and efficiency, reducing complexity.
* Foster a collaborative environment within the legal team, Allianz Holding eins GmbH and across the Region.
What You Bring
* Fully qualified lawyer with a minimum of 7 to 10 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in the insurance industry.
* Fluent in English. Business fluency in German or other languages in the CE region would be an advantage.
* Forward‑thinking approach to legal practice, with an emphasis on strategic thinking.
* Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
* Strong team player and ability to establish and maintain working relationships with co‑colleagues from different backgrounds, functions, and cultures.
* Collaborative and proactive mindset.
* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
* Being resourceful: able to manage large responsibilities within a small team. Good ability to work autonomously.
* Basic familiarity with available AI tools such as ChatGPT.

Start date: ASAP | Working hours: 40 hours per week | Location: ICON Tower, directly at Vienna Central Station, 1100 Vienna
Annual gross salary: €110,000 (full‑time basis). Overpay is possible in case of and depending on appropriate experience, qualifications and commitment.
