Job Description:
Your tasks:
4. Development of software for analyzing, processing and providing scientific data to support scientific operations at the DiSC; consolidation and maintenance of software developed at the DiSC (Python, R, C++, web technologies, ...); maintenance of scientific data
5. System administration and development, in particular planning, design, procurement and implementation of the DiSC's hardware and software infrastructure, technical consulting for up to 40 employees (heterogeneous operating systems, application programs, GPU clusters, …), communication and cooperation with the Information Technology Services (IT-Center, ZID)
6. Technical support for DiSC activities and projects (e.g. websites, courses, meetings, conferences, events, ...)
Your profile:
7. Completed Master's degree in computer science (or other relevant field) or equivalent qualification (e.g. Bachelor's degree with specialized knowledge or relevant professional experience)
8. Proven in-depth knowledge of Linux
9. Demonstrably good programming skills (preferably in Python, C++ and web technologies)
10. Demonstrably good communication skills in German and English
11. Ability to work in a team and cooperate
12. A customer- and service-oriented mindset
13. Ability to work independently, carry out tasks diligently and reliably
14. Enthusiasm for new technologies
15. Commitment and willingness to undergo further training
16. Flexibility and ability to work under pressure

For this position in job group IVa, a minimum gross salary of € 1.695 per month (14 times)* is stipulated in the collective agreement. Your actual starting salary will depend on your previous experience and will increase over the course of your employment.
