Are you a passionate scientist with expertise in bioprocess development and downstream processing, ready to make a significant impact in the field of animal nutrition and health? Our enzyme technology for increasing the nutritional value of animal feed is critically dependent on efficient, high-yield enzyme production at large scale. We are looking for a new team member to help us develop and optimize microbial bioreactor processes for producing recombinant enzymes and other bioactive molecules. Your Key Responsibilities
* Develop and optimize bioprocesses for microbial hosts for recombinant protein and bioactive molecule production
* Design, perform and supervise lab-scale bioreactor processes (upstream and downstream processing)
* Support process scale-up and transfer to production
* Scouting and implementation of new methods, techniques, and equipment
* Troubleshooting & problem solving, processing & interpretation of data, and documentation of results
* Maintenance and cultivation of a safe working environment
* Scientific knowledge exchange, teamwork, learning from and teaching others

* We offer you an income based on your qualifications and market conditions, with a minimum annual gross salary of €42.000 on fulltime basis.
You bring
* Education in biotechnology (MSc, PhD) with experience in bioreactor cultivation of bacteria and yeasts and in-process control
* Experience with both upstream (microbial fermentation for biomass or recombinant protein/bioactive molecule production) and downstream processing (separation, filtration, polishing steps)
* Experience with lab-scale fermentation is a must, large-scale fermentation know-how and knowledge in bioprocess modelling and Design of Experiment (DoE) would be a plus
