We are recruiting a Mechanical Design Engineer (m/w/d) on a fixed‑term contract of 2 years, 20 hours per week, at our Vienna site. The role is part of the Research & Development department, where you will collaborate with cross‑disciplinary teams on complex technical solutions for biological and industrial sample preparation for electron microscopy.
Conception and development of mechatronic assemblies within the Mechanical Design team, coordinating with the Lead Engineer, SW/ Electronics development, product management and production.
Participation in projects for new product development and product maintenance.
Involvement in feasibility studies, including technology scouting and concept development.
Verification and testing, including documentation of performance.
Successfully completed technical education (HTL or Bachelor) in Mechatronics or Mechanical Engineering.
Fluent in German and English.
Strong CAD skills in Creo/Creo Simulate and experience with Windchill PLM.
Good knowledge of vacuum technology and cryo applications.
Excellent material knowledge (selection and behavior of materials).
