The AGRANA Research & Innovation Center (ARIC) is the R&D company of AGRANA and acts as an interdisciplinary research institute in the area of sugar, starch and fruit located in Tulln, Austria. Our goal is to provide innovation, scientific research, technologies and application expertises across food, beverage, cosmetics and other industrial markets supporting AGRANA and our customers in their future strategy.
For our location in Tulln we are looking for a motivated personality ready to join our fruit technology department as Project Manager (m/f/d).
Your responsibilities:
* Development of prototypes for various products from the raw material fruit and evaluation of innovative technologies for fruit processing
* Supervision and execution of R&D projects in the field of enzymatic/physical/chemical/biotechnological processes, analyses, fermentations, including project planning and management in coordination with the project team and stakeholders
* Examination of the quality, properties, and applicability of products/by-products
* Contribution and generation of ideas, internal and external knowledge exchange through literature research, trade fair visits, participation in conferences, etc., as well as contact with universities and research institutes
* Planning, execution, and implementation of investigations on a laboratory, pilot, and industrial scale
* Participation in national and international events and building networks with potential research and industry partners
* Close collaboration with production sites and sales teams for production and process optimization, as well as technical customer support within the AGRANA Group
* Evaluation and documentation of results, preparation of protocols and reports, and presentation of findings to internal and external clients
* Point of contact for production sites and sales regarding product and production optimization, as well as technical customer support within the AGRANA Group
* Support of industrial-scale trials at production sites
* Preparation of protocols, reports, and funding applications, as well as presentation of results to internal and external clients
Your profile:
* Completed studies (university or university of applied sciences) in the field of food and/or biotechnology or a related area
* Ideally, several years of relevant professional experience
* Knowledge in the field of food sciences
* Team player, flexible, and capable of working precisely and independently
* Open and communicative personality with a passion for research
* Very good command of German and English
* Willingness to travel to our national and international subsidiaries, and a class B driver’s license

* Competitive salary: The minimum gross monthly salary for this position is EUR 3,300, with willingness to overpay with appropriate qualifications and experience. We are happy to discuss the final salary in a personal interview.
