Your Responsibilities
* Investigating the role of lipid metabolism at the interface of cell death (ferroptosis), therapy-resistant cancer, and metabolic diseases, with a focus on mass spectrometry-based lipidomics
* Development and optimization of metabolomics/lipidomics methods (UPLC-ZenoTOF)
* Coordination of collaborative research projects
* Planning and conducting experimental work, as well as guiding team members
* Analyzing and interpreting data, and creating publication‑quality figures
* Writing manuscripts and contributing to grant applications and coordinated programs
* Presenting research findings at internal, national, and international events
* Independently conducting courses in pharmacognosy, administering examinations, and assisting in the supervision of bachelor’s and master’s theses
* Participating in university self‑administration and supporting organizational tasks within the institute
Your Profile
* Completed diploma or master’s degree in pharmacy or a related field (e.g., biochemistry, molecular medicine, chemical biology), as well as a PhD in pharmacy or a related discipline
* Experience in mass spectrometry‑based metabolomics, with a particular focus on lipid analysis (lipidomics), including sample preparation and liquid chromatography coupling
* Profound knowledge in bioanalytics, biomedicine, metabolism, signal transduction, and drug research
* Additional experience with mammalian cell culture and standard cell and molecular biology techniques is considered an advantage
* Excellent command of English, both written and spoken, as well as good knowledge of German
* Proficient in IT skills (Office applications, data visualization, statistical software)
* Proven scientific publications
* Didactic skills for independent teaching
* Strong planning, organizational, and problem‑solving skills, along with teamwork and leadership qualities, combined with high motivation and enthusiasm
We offer an annual gross salary of at least € 70,200.20 for a fulltime position. An overpayment based on qualification and experience is possible.
