YOUR JOB
As a Senior Frontend Engineer at NETCONOMY you will be responsible for implementing high performance E‑commerce solutions for mid to large scale enterprises by working closely with engineers and designers in a distributed, diverse and passionate team delivering the most value to our clients.
Your jobs key responsibilities are :
* Developing high‑quality, scalable and reliable software solutions using NodeJS and React in TypeScript utilizing our own in‑house framework Archibald
* Building experiences for customers by optimizing the user experience
* Effectively supporting browser and performance optimisation by realizing solutions considering non‑functional requirements
* Successfully implementing responsive designs with SASS and ensuring cross‑browser compatibility
* Delivering high quality by introducing tests with JEST and the React testing library
* Proactively assisting with the evaluation and introduction of innovative frontend technologies
* Collaborating with cross‑functional teams to understand business requirements and design software solutions
* Contributing to the continuous improvement of development processes and practices in the team and across the company
Job requirements
YOUR SKILLS
Essential Skills
* At least 5 years of experience working as a Frontend Developer or in a similar role
* Experience / relevant background in web development with JavaScript / ES6 or TypeScript (React)
* High personal standards regarding non‑functional requirements (quality, performance, security)
* Familiarity with a variety of web browsers and their compatibility issues
* Understanding how to use agile development tools such as JIRA and Confluence
* Experience with modern source code management tools like GitHub or GitLab
* Practical experience with accessibility, performance analysis and usability
* Knowledge of concepts such as Server‑Side Rendering and Progressive Web Apps
* Joy in passing on knowledge and experience to fellow team members
* Excellent English skills (B2 / C1)
Beneficial Skills
* Experience with CI / CD tools and automated pipelines
* Experience in e2e testing with Cypress or Playwright
* Experience with React Native
* German language skills

The actual salary depends on your qualifications and experience. For legal reasons we need to disclose the minimum annual salary for full‑time employment as stated in the current collective IT agreement, which is €53,802 gross per year for this position.
