This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Accountant in Switzerland. We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to strengthen financial operations in a fast-growing, fully remote SaaS environment. This role will be instrumental in managing the monthly close process, overseeing accounts payable and receivable, and delivering accurate financial statements. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, support audits and tax compliance, and help scale accounting processes as the business grows. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of balancing multiple priorities while ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This position offers significant ownership, visibility into company financials, and opportunities to grow into broader finance responsibilities.
Accountabilities
* Manage the month-end close process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
* Oversee daily accounts payable operations: invoice processing, vendor payments, expense report reviews, and vendor reconciliations.
* Prepare monthly financial statements and management reporting packages.
* Maintain supporting schedules and documentation for balance sheet accounts.
* Coordinate annual audits, including PBC requests, workpaper preparation, and serving as the primary point of contact for auditors.
* Support tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions, including sales tax, VAT/GST, and income tax filings.
* Ensure adherence to accounting policies, standards, and internal controls.
Requirements
* 5+ years of full-cycle accounting experience, including ownership of month-end close processes.
* Prior experience in SaaS or high-growth subscription businesses preferred.
* Strong technical accounting knowledge: GAAP, revenue recognition, accrual accounting, and balance sheet reconciliations.
* Advanced Excel skills, comfortable with complex formulas and reporting templates.
* Experience with tools like QuickBooks Online, Ramp, Stripe, or similar.
* Detail-oriented and highly organized, able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
* Collaborative communicator with the ability to explain accounting concepts non-finance stakeholders.
* Coachable, accountable, self-starter mindset.
* Proficient in English (CEFR Level C2 / ILR Level 5).
* Bonus: CPA designation or actively pursuing it; experience with international sales tax, VAT, or GST compliance.
