Responsibilities
* Manage day‑to‑day accounting operations in compliance with Austrian statutory requirements (UGB).
* Prepare and maintain accurate general ledger entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
* Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities, ensuring timely reporting to group headquarters.
* Prepare VAT returns, statutory filings, and liaise with Austrian tax authorities and external auditors.
* Ensure compliance with Austrian tax, accounting, and corporate regulations.
* Collaborate with group headquarters on financial reports, budgeting, and cash management.
* Assist with payroll‑related accounting and liaise with external payroll service providers.
* Support internal control processes and participate in process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, Steuerberaterprüfung) is a plus.
* 3+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in an international or Austrian/German subsidiary environment.
* Solid knowledge of Austrian GAAP (UGB) and tax regulations; IFRS knowledge is an advantage.
* Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel); experience with SAP system.
* Strong analytical skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently, while maintaining good communication with headquarters.
* Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
