Position
Regional Medical Affairs Manager (ILD) (m/f/d) – Regional Centre, Vienna.
Responsibilities
* Build and maintain scientific and medical expertise for nerandomilast and other Boehringer Ingelheim ILD pipeline assets, and contribute to the design, preparation, and approval of regional medical and marketing materials in compliance with global standards, legal regulations and internal SOPs.
* Ensure successful regional launch of new products and/or indications within the assigned therapeutic area, including the implementation of publication strategies aligned with global and ROPU product positioning.
* Co‑create and execute the RCV Integrated Customer Plan (ICP) and engage closely with cross‑functional stakeholders to drive aligned medical activities across the region.
* Lead mapping of regional and local patient journeys and treatment guidelines, identify gaps in diagnostics and disease management, and engage external experts, healthcare professionals and patient advocacy representatives to gather insights on product and data needs in key RCV markets.
* Plan, initiate and conduct the generation and collection of Real World Data through regional Medical Affairs programmes, including non‑interventional studies, non‑trial activities and ECRs.
Requirements
* Advanced degree in Health Sciences (MD, PharmD, DVM, etc.) with at least 5 years of Medical Affairs experience in a multinational pharmaceutical company; experience in Respiratory TA is a strong asset.
* Proven medical and scientific leadership to drive high‑priority projects in collaboration with matrix teams, regional and global counterparts, and external partners.
* Strong lateral leadership capabilities with excellent interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills in a matrix environment.
* Experience in the CEE region is an asset, combined with business‑proficient English skills.
* Willingness and availability to travel frequently.

Remuneration: starting at EUR 108 000 gross annual target salary per year (full time). Salary may depend on experience and qualifications.
