Job Summary
At Ketryx, we’re on a mission to help medical software teams build secure, reliable applications that make a real difference in people’s lives. We give them the tools to automate the tough parts of compliance and quality so they can focus on what matters most: creating life‑saving products with confidence.
About You
You’re passionate about quality and believe that great software starts with solid testing. You’re detail‑oriented, enjoy uncovering edge cases, and take pride in building reliable, maintainable automated tests. You thrive in fast‑paced environments where you can take initiative, improve processes, and influence product quality from the ground up. You’re comfortable communicating in English with cross‑functional teams, and you see testing as a collaborative effort, not a gate‑keeping one. You’re looking for a meaningful impact, professional growth, and a team that truly matters. Above all, you’re excited to apply your skills to technology that directly improves patient outcomes.
Ideally you will be currently located in Vienna or are remote within the EU. Unfortunately, we are unable to support non‑EU citizens for the position at this time.
What You’ll DO
* Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and designers to define test scenarios and ensure testability of new features
* Design, implement, and maintain end‑to‑end automated tests using Playwright, TypeScript, and Cucumber
* Continuously improve the test framework and contribute to the stability and scalability of the test suite
* Participate in verification and validation activities to ensure compliance with product requirements and industry standards
* Write clear and thorough manual test cases when automation is not feasible or during early development stages
* Support test execution in CI environments (e.g., GitHub Actions) and help investigate and debug test failures
* Contribute to fostering a quality‑focused culture across the engineering team
What We’re Looking For
* Minimum 4 years of experience in software testing, with at least 3 years specifically focused on test automation for web applications
* Over 1 year of hands‑on experience with TypeScript, or more than 2 years with JavaScript
* Prior experience with test automation tools such as Playwright or Cypress (experience with Protractor, WebdriverJS, or NightwatchJS also acceptable)
* Knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
* Familiarity with BDD practices, ideally using Cucumber
Bonus Points (Ideal Skills)
* Experience using test case management tools (e.g., HP ALM, TestRail, or Azure DevOps)
* Experience working in a regulated industry (healthcare, finance, or automotive)
* Experience with exploratory testing
* Knowledge of performance/security testing
* Knowledge about ISO 13485 / IEC 62304
