Are you ready to shape the future of strategic intelligence in TRD Biologics & CGT, Portfolio & Strategy Management (PSM)? Join us as an Associate Director, Business Insights, where insight meets impact. You will lead the development of a forward-looking intelligence capability that helps TRD Biologics & CGT anticipate external trends, identify opportunities, and make informed decisions. Your role includes translating scientific, technical, and industry signals into actionable insights, integrating external benchmarking with internal analytics, and driving strategic initiatives through a governance framework.
Key responsibilities:
* Lead horizon scanning and scenario planning to anticipate trends in biologics, CGT, and innovation.
* Translate complex signals into strategic narratives for leadership and scientific communities.
* Integrate external benchmarking with internal analytics to shape priorities.
* Establish and operate a governance framework connecting insights to actions.
* Guide non-drug portfolio planning, innovation, and investment prioritization.
* Coordinate engagement with industry collaborations and impact tracking.
* Design governance models for external knowledge capture.
* Develop internal knowledge-sharing strategies and communication channels.
* Create materials and plans to disseminate insights across teams.
* Foster a Community of Practice for collaborative learning.
Qualifications:
* Advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, MSc, MBA) in Life Sciences, Business, or related.
* At least 8 years in pharmaceutical development or related fields.
* Experience in competitive intelligence, strategic insights, or portfolio strategy within biopharma.
* Deep understanding of biologics and CGT development, regulation, and commercialization.
* Strong analytical, storytelling, and communication skills.
* Ability to translate data into actionable insights influencing strategy.
* Experience working independently and in cross-functional teams.
* Strategic thinking with operational agility.
* Proficiency with digital tools, data visualization, and insight methodologies.
Novartis Austria is a modern manufacturing site with approximately 3,850 employees. The Tirol site is in the Austrian Alps with excellent infrastructure.
