With around 6.500 employees and 8.600 students, the Medical University of Vienna is one of the largest top-level biomedical research and teaching institutions in Europe. The Institute of Medical Information Management at the Center of Medical Data Science is looking for a full-time (40 hours per week) Postdoc Position available in Medical Informatics (m/f/x) (expected to start on 2/2/2026). This is a contract for a duration of 6 years.
Your Tasks
The department is part of the Center for Medical Data Science at the Medical University of Vienna. it focuses on research and teaching in the areas of documentation, communication, visualization and retrieval of medical information. Cross institutional electronic health record systems and secondary use represent core areas of activity.
We seek researchers with a strong background in medical informatics who would like to participate in our research and teaching activities.
Your Profile
* Completed degree in informatics with a relevant doctorate
* Strong background in the field of medical informatics, ideally in the topics of medical information management, databases, electronic health records, health information exchange, health interoperability and standards (such as HL7 CDA and FHIR, OMOP CDM)
* The foreign law employment requirements for non-EU citizens must be satisfied

The minimum monthly salary for this position (Uni-KV, VerwGr. B1b) is currently Euro 4.932,-- gross (14x per year) on a full-time basis and may be increased by taking into account relevant previous experience and other salary components related to the specificities of the job.
