University Assistant (PhD position)
Your tasks:
Sports management/sports economics; subject area: sports event research (intangible costs and benefits of major sports events, in particular willingness to pay for environmental damage and/or human rights and sports mega events); independent research in the field of sports management/sports economics
Independent research-led teaching in the field of sports management/sports economics
Supervision of students; involvement in the assessment of students incl. Supervision of bachelor theses
Training and further education; participation in conferences, congresses and specialised training courses
Administrative tasks; participation in the organisation of scientific conferences (e.g. Innsbruck Sports Economics and Management Symposium); participation in the administration of the department
Your profile
Completed subject-related Master's, Magister or Diploma programme
Sound knowledge of the costs and benefits of major sporting events
Experience in the management of projects (e.g. Conferences)
Good knowledge of MS Office (Word, PPT, Excel) and statistics programmes (SPSS, jamovi, R)
knowledge of English
Ability to work in a team with project groups
Creative problem-solving skills

The minimum gross salary (stipulated by collective agreement) for 20 hours per week amounts to € 1.888 per month (14 times)*. The salary will be increased to € 2.832 for 30 hours per week once the dissertation agreement has been signed and sent to the Personnel Department. The salary will be higher if you have worked in a similar position before.
