The Impact You’ll Make
As a Global Product Support Engineer at Lam, you will be the backbone of technical support for field engineers, technicians, and product support personnel. Your expertise is essential in diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and debugging complex semiconductor equipment. Quick response times are critical in resolving issues and ensuring customer satisfaction.
What You’ll Do
* Provide quality on-site repair and maintenance of complex electro-mechanical systems, including troubleshooting to component level and performing installation/relocation start-up services.
* Troubleshoot equipment problems, conduct diagnostics to isolate issues, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
* Install and relocate equipment at customer sites.
* Stay updated on equipment and tools through training, manuals, and relevant materials.
* Assist with complex field modifications and updates as per Engineering Change Notifications.
* Maintain records and reports to coordinate activities with supervisors and customers.
* Plan, manage, and execute projects of limited scope and duration.
Who We’re Looking For
* Technical education in electronics, engineering, or related field (HTL/Bachelor).
* Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience.
* Ability to work quickly and efficiently for extended periods, including physical activities such as bending and reaching.
* Understanding of electrical and mechanical schematics and diagrams.
* Ability to interpret operation manuals to diagnose tool failures.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
* Ability to work independently and in teams, with high accuracy and attention to detail.
* Ability to perform effectively in a demanding, changing environment.
* Adherence to customer safety and worksite policies.
* Willingness to travel frequently.
What We're Offering
This position is based in Villach, Austria, and is governed by the Austrian Collective Bargaining Agreement for Employees in the Metal Technology Industry, occupation group E, depending on education.
