Responsibilities
* Research and prototype new sensing technologies, data processing methods, and connectivity solutions to keep our products innovative, reliable, and ahead of industry trends
* Dive into areas such as edge AI, low-power IoT, and advanced localization (GPS, Cellular, BLE, and beyond)
* Work closely with Firmware, Backend, Data Science, and Hardware teams to bring innovative features from concept to large‑scale deployment
* Rapidly validate hypotheses through simulation, field testing, and data analysis to identify high‑potential ideas
* Translate experimental concepts into robust, manufacturable features that deliver measurable value to customers
* Present your research and prototypes to a team of developers working on the transition to production firmware‑ready code
* Share insights, challenge the status quo, and introduce forward‑thinking approaches to continuously evolve our technology and processes
* Bring in your fresh ideas to make Tractive better – you’ll never hear the phrase “...because that’s how we’ve always done things”

Key Requirements
* 3+ years of experience in firmware development (C/C++)
* Strong analytical and problem‑solving mindset
* Comfortable with data processing and analysis
* Background in firmware R&D – ideally have already accompanied features from proof‑of‑concept to production in IoT
* Programming skills in Python (e.g., pandas, Matplotlib, NumPy) are a plus
* Very good English skills
