KuCoin EU is hiring an Operations Manager to oversee and scale the day-to-day operations of our crypto brokerage, ensuring efficiency, control, and compliance within the framework of Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCAR).
This is a hands-on role focused on executing, improving, and controlling operational processes across listing, trading, settlement, payments and regulatory reporting.
Responsibilities
* Own day-to-day platform operations, ensuring smooth execution and rapid issue resolution, working with global stakeholders
* Own and continuously improve SOPs
* Lead reconciliations across client balances, custodians, liquidity providers, and internal ledgers; investigate breaks and implement robust controls
* Partner with Compliance and Risk to ensure MiCAR-aligned processes, including transaction monitoring, reporting, and audit readiness
* Drive process improvements and automation across operations; define and track KPIs
* Manage external vendors (custody, liquidity, payments, KYC/AML), monitoring performance and SLAs
Requirements
* 4+ years experience in operations within Crypto, fintech, or financial services
* Strong understanding of trade lifecycle and settlement processes, reconciliation (fiat and/or digital assets), payments and onboarding workflows
* Experience in regulated environments
* High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
* Comfortable working with data, spreadsheets, and operational systems
Preferred
* Being based in Vienna, Austria or willing to relocate
* Experience in brokerage, exchange, or trading environment in crypto and/or traditional financial services
* Familiarity digital asset flows
* Experience with KYC/AML processes and tools
* Background in scaling operations in a high-growth environment
