Business Unit Manager Advanced Materials (f/m/d) - Composites, Converters, Compounders
IMCD South East Europe is looking for anambitious, talented person seeking a commercial career with technicalcompetence. The ideal candidate possessesa degree in Chemistry / Polymer Technology or a related subject, and a proventrack record in a commercial role in an (inter)national plastics ingredientsenvironment. Experience with the CRM System Salesforce is a big plus.
The person will be passionate about the plasticsmarket and will have demonstrated a previous track record of business successin this sector, and a strong understanding of consumer trends.
He/she has sound management experience andshould be able to encourage and build team spirit among staff, bringing aboutmutual respect and cooperation. The ideal candidate must have strong analyticaland business management skills as well as argumentation and communicationskills. He/she also has a hands-on mentality and is driven and assertive.He/she is able to present his/her motivation for change in an appealing andprecise way. The ideal candidate will be an excellent leader with an openmindset and an entrepreneurial spirit.
He/she will also be used to working ininternational cross functional teams.
The position
The Business Unit Manager will be accountablefor:
1. Building and further developing strong relationships with our suppliers and customers
2. Setting out the strategic growth plan for the Advanced Materials business, building on trends of the industries
3. Effective leadership of the sales team
4. Responsible for training and mentoring staff; motivating them for effective performance for the general growth of the Business Unit
5. Delivering the budgeted financial targets of the business unit
6. Pursuing potential new supply partners to further enhance the existing portfolio of suppliers
7. Proactively network with BU Manager peers within the IMCD group of companies
8. Analyze and explore market trends; identifying new opportunities in assigned region
The Business Unit Manager reports to the MDof IMCD South East Europe and also has a reporting line to the Business GroupDirector Advanced Materials.
