Your Responsibilities
Civil & Structural Design and Engineering:
• Perform and review civil and structural design calculations according to the latest international and local standards and codes.
• Prepare and manage the production of construction drawings, technical specifications, and engineering documentation
.
• Create
structural engineering plans, details, and calculations
for utility- and commercial-scale solar projects in regions with varying wind, seismic, and snow load conditions.
• Design
foundations and substructures
for PV and BESS equipment, ensuring compliance with geotechnical parameters and jurisdictional requirements.
• Lead and supervise
on-site tests
(e.g., Pull-Out Tests), ensuring adherence to standards and client expectations.
• Review and evaluate
EPC and subcontractor designs
for compliance with project requirements, standards, and safety codes.
• Interpret and apply information from
site surveys and geotechnical reports
to foundation and structural design.
• Conduct
preliminary and feasibility designs
for special constructions and substructures.
• Design
drainage systems, ditches, culverts, and retention ponds
, ensuring effective rainwater management and erosion control.
• Develop
erosion and sediment control plans
to minimize environmental impact during construction.
Project Coordination and Support:
• Review and respond to RFIs, shop drawings, and submittals
during the construction phase.
• Provide
technical support
during project development, bidding, and execution phases.
• Perform
site visits
to monitor civil and structural works, ensuring adherence to design drawings, quality standards, and specifications.
• Address site-related design issues or modifications, providing timely technical solutions.
• Conduct
inspections and quality checks
on foundations, structures, and civil works.
Collaboration and External Partner Management:
• Coordinate and communicate with external structural engineers and design firms
, acting as the single point of contact.
• Prepare and communicate
scope of work
for external partners and evaluate their technical proposals.
• Review and optimize
substructure designs and foundation concepts
received from third parties.
• Assess
load assumptions and combinations
for specific project locations.
• Perform
preliminary structural analysis
for feasibility studies and optimization of substructure designs.
Technical Expertise & Innovation:
• Gain and apply in-depth knowledge of PV system components
(modules, racking, inverters, BOS).
• Provide technical support to
business development and sales teams
for tendering and after-sales.
• Ensure all civil and structural works comply with
company, industry, and safety standards
.
• Stay informed about new materials, methods, and technologies in renewable energy infrastructure.
Your Profile
Education:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
, or a comparable field.
Experience:
• Minimum 3–5 years of professional experience
in civil and structural design for large-scale
solar PV, BESS, or similar infrastructure projects
.
• Proven experience in
foundation design, substructure optimization, and site civil works
.
Knowledge:
• Strong understanding of soil mechanics, geotechnical analysis, and structural principles
.
• Experience with
international, German and Austrian design codes
(e.g., Eurocode, DIN).
• Familiarity with
load assumptions, pull-out testing, and site investigation methods
.
• Knowledge of
PV plant components and layout considerations
is an advantage.
Software Skills:
• Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D, structural design software
, and MS Office Suite.
• Experience with
geotechnical and finite element analysis tools
is beneficial.
Language Skills:
• Very good communication skills in English
