Job Title: Manager, Operations (Facilities)
The Manager, Operations (Facilities) manages the delivery of facilities maintenance and operations across the University. This role leads and has a strong technical and compliance understanding of ‘Hard FM’ elements such as electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, fire safety, in collaboration with our service partners. Responsibilities include managing the planned preventative maintenance program and owning the live asset register. The manager oversees a multi-functional team of staff and partnership organizations, focusing on delivery methodologies and client outcomes.
The role works closely with the Manager, Operations (Services), who handles ‘Soft FM’ elements, and reports to the Deputy Director, Operations (Facilities and Services).
Skills and Experience
* A degree with extensive management expertise and relevant experience, or postgraduate qualifications with extensive relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of knowledge, training, and experience.
* Proven ability to develop innovative solutions and implement strategic change practically.
* Strong interpersonal skills, including negotiation, motivation, influence, and relationship-building.
* Experience managing budgets and resources, with an understanding of financial procedures.
